Soroptimist is a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. More than 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories support community–based and global projects benefiting women and girls. The organization is particularly concerned with providing women and girls access to education, as this is the most effective path to self-determination.
The word “Soroptimist” was coined from two Latin words, “sorror” and “optima”, which loosely translates as “best for women”.
Soroptimist International of Baldy View meets in the Rancho Cucamonga area but serves communities in the Inland Empire through our programs. We welcome all women from surrounding communities to join us as we make a difference.
We are celebrating 25 years of service to our community this year and we hope that you will join us for the next 25 years.
